Whimsical charm meets woodland luxe in this seasonal affair
Winter has certainly arrived here in Australia, and there’s no better way to celebrate the cosy season than with some romantic wedding imagery that will warm and gratify your deepest senses. With pretty weddings like this to be had in winter right here in Melbourne, who’s even thinking of a Mediterranean vacation? (Not us, that’s for sure!)
A winter wedding evokes a certain kind of whimsical charm, which was exactly our inspiration behind this May editorial. Teaming up with event photographer extraordinaire Kas Richards, LENZO dived into woodland luxe with our take on a romantic seasonal wedding at one of our favourite Melbourne venues, the Yarra Valley Estate.
Come and embrace the frosty season with us now, and shop the looks directly from our marketplace!
The wedding ceremony
Yarra Valley Estate was the perfect place in which to host our intimate pastel winter wedding: just look at this incredible open air chapel! With lush natural greenery providing a stunning backdrop, we didn’t really need to do much to enhance the space.

SHOP THE LOOK: Bentwood resin chairs / aisle decal
Our colour palette was blush pink and white, which we incorporated easily through the decorations, stationery, flowers, and furniture. We used classic Bentwood resin chairs from Dann Event Hire for the guests, while Pickawall provided the white aisle runner decal. (Hot tip: A floor decal is a great alternative to carpet!)
Check out that custom timber sign at the end of the aisle, generously provided by our friends at Sketch & Etch! It’s a cute little touch at your ceremony that also doubles as a great keepsake for afterward!

And we know you’ve been peeping at those gorgeous florals that lined the aisles and the window frames: they were provided by none other than the incredibly talented Flowers by Brett Matthew John (and you can bet they smelled even more delicious than they looked!)
SHOP THE LOOK: event florals
We absolutely adore this pastel floral arrangement, with its soft shades of pink and lilac, and touches of white intertwined. The added blush draping completed the look. It’s the ULTIMATE romantic wedding bouquet, don’t you think?
The wedding reception
Then, we transformed the open air chapel into an intimate reception, with the help of Dann Event Hire’s gorgeous furniture and bar collection. We kept the colour of the chairs and bar to a muted grey so the florals could pop.

Even the table settings were finessed to match the theme, from the gorgeous grey linen napkins to the silverware and plates - all thanks to the amazing team at Ruby Rabbit Partyware! And did you spot the table decal from Pickawall? What a great alternative to a material table runner!

The fashion & accessories: Posy Robes, One Day Bridal + Diamond Exchange
Of course, we must give special thanks to Posy Robes, One Day Bridal and the Diamond Exchange for dressing up our bride in their stunning robes, wedding dresses, and jewellery, respectively.
A white bridal robe is the perfect garment to get ready in on the morning of your wedding. And a matching pyjama combo is just as cute!

One Day Bridal spoilt us with not one but two wedding dresses: a beautiful strapless gown and a bell sleeve lace dress.
We just couldn’t decide which dress we loved best for our wedding day… so can we wear them both?
