Still loving the industrial warehouse wedding theme? Well, we’ve got a treat for you! Bluebird Events recently styled this intimate blush + burgundy wedding and reception combo at Melbourne’s latest and most unique event location, Canvas House. If you recall, LENZO hosted their End of Year party here, so we were really excited to revisit the space!
The brief was to create an intimate and relaxed party, where guests would sense the occasion, yet feel free to get loose on the dance floor! The white exposed brick and open space made it all the easier for Erin from Bluebird Events to style the venue, which she did with muted tones of blush and grey, and accented by richer notes of burgundy in the florals.

Erin tells us the entire look was achieved by zoning Canvas House into separate spaces. First, a beautiful entrance and ceremony space allowed guests to linger on plush lounges for pre-dinner drinks, including cotton-candy champagne cocktails, and the most delicious grazing table by the team at Cookes Food.

Then, guests were ushered into the dining space, where long banquet tables, thoughtful mood lighting, and the most incredible flower installations suspended over the dining area. The amazing and abundant floral installations by North Street Botanical transformed the bars and ceiling into beautiful focal points. This is where guests were treated to a shared feast.

Finally, the desserts table was revealed with an amazing donut wall, and a Bianco Latte gelato cart featuring espresso martinis.
The bride's Greek influence was infused into the event space, with Bluebird Events incorporating a playful bright pink neon sign over the dance floor, which encouraged guests to dance using one expression: “Opa!”

Wendy Bird Acoustic played softly as guests arrived, then were able to move seamlessly from ceremony to an acoustic set for pre-dinner drinks before DJing great tunes into the early hours!
And don’t you just adore this floral-filled wedding chuppah by Georgeous?

We loved the entire look so much, we just had to ask Erin from Bluebird Events what styling trend she incorporated into the event?
“Dried grasses and leaves were woven into floral installations and arrangements. We used round blush acrylic to print the welcome sign, seating charts, menus, and personalised place settings. We also used hand-dyed blush cotton weave to hang signage and as a table runner which added another soft, contrasting layer. Finally, we used The Small Things Co’s gorgeous candle holders filled with pillar candles and votives to create soft, romantic light.”

What are 3 must-have elements for any event?
“A feature of some sort whether it be a styled bar, a floral installation, or a styled seating area with some killer pieces. You also need a good sense of how everything will work together. And most importantly, a trusted list of suppliers who help bring your vision to life!”
We'll drink to that! See you at the bar...
Love, LENZO x
