We kiss the 20’s goodbye in our flavourite editorial yet!
Have we got a sweet treat for you! They say life begins at 30, and after styling this tasty shoot, LENZO couldn’t agree more!
Captured by the talented Kas Richards and held at none other than the latest ‘it’ venue, we created a candy-coloured 30th birthday party at Sugar Republic, a pop-up museum for sugar lovers in Melbourne. (Well, was there any other choice in which to host our candy-coloured party? We think not!) Inspired by Pantone’s 2018 on-trend colour palette, we incorporated lilac, turquoise, mustard yellow, and peach into the stationery, decorations, furniture, and desserts. It was a visual overload for both the eyes and the mouth!

Our birthday girl looked the part in stunning makeup by beauty artist Issy Quinn. She used a vibrant shade of pink across the eyelids as a way of tying in the theme’s colours. Check out that cut crease – slay!
We’ve said it all before, but it’s worth mentioning again: the party invites are the first thing your guests will see when it comes to your special event, so it’s important that it perfectly reflects what to expect on the day. The Sundae Creative lovingly designed our invitations, which were so on-point with the overall theme. They were the flawless combo of sweet and stylish: we love!

The table setting was a joint collaboration by Palm and Pine Party Co and Place Settings, who supplied the partyware and furniture, respectively. The stunning burst of florals in the theme’s palette was crafted by Gillian Pollard, who also adorned the cocktail bar and desserts station with her beautiful blooms.

Can we also please just rewind and go back a second to take in that cake?! A special thanks to LaManna Patisserie for baking those delicious round cookies and this incred shaggy cake – we’ve never seen anything like it before! We’re getting a #SUGARRUSH just drooling over the images (and you can bet it tasted just as good as it looked!)

As they say, “Growing old is inevitable, but growing up is optional.” Our birthday girl took that advice literally by jumping into a giant gumball machine filled with balloons and a bubble pit… and out of a giant birthday cake!
Check out this neon wall, which provided the perfect photo op! There’s nothing like bright fluorescent lights to help create a party atmosphere.

When celebrating a birthday, you want something tangible to hold onto as a reminder of your special day, which is why we love the idea of a hashtag photo booth to hire! Our birthday girl had so much fun taking photos on her smart phone, then posting to Instagram with her custom hashtag, before getting the photos printed as a keepsake. Too easy!

And of course, what’s a party without some sparkling wine? Yellowglen provided the goods with their Colours Collection, which sat perfectly on the cocktail bar also provided by Place Settings.
