Step right up: everyone’s a winner at this carnival party extravaganza
Roll up! Roll up! See the main attraction: Harlow’s 2nd birthday carnival party is nothing short of amazing. So, grab your tickets and enjoy the ride as you’re invited to swoon and sigh over this pastel birthday delight...
Styled by supermum Alicia Adams of Hudson and Harlow fame, she went well above and beyond to create a whimsical carnival party for her darling daughter – and the results are truly #NEXTLEVEL.
Pastel blues, baby pinks, and soft greys dominated the space, and were the colour palette of choice. Alicia told us that the inspiration for Harlow’s 2nd birthday party came from a single cotton candy cart print by Mrs. Mighetto. From there, she brainstormed and executed the entire event using a little bit of imagination – trust us when we tell you this was the ultimate DIY celebration.
From hand-painting the Cotton Candy Cart and Food Carts in the theme’s colours through to creating those gorgeous balloon garlands (from Ruby Rabbit, of course!), Alicia spent hours setting up everything to be just perfect.
Even the horse and elephant party favours were hand-painted and decorated!
Alicia even turned the indoor cubby house from 4 Kids n More into a Kid’s Candy Bar, where the older kids helped to serve candy. Now THAT’S thinking outside the box!
The theme carried over into the entertainment, with classic carnival games being played such as the ring toss, lucky duck, and coin toss (and yes, those shelves were halfway to the bin before they were salvaged with a bit of imagination and a lick of paint by Alicia herself!)
We have to give a special mention to Niknaks Sweetest Treats for all those delicious desserts (we can spot cupcakes, mars bar fudges, salted caramel slices, cheesecakes, and custard puffs!), and to Little Biskut for the creative cookies that they baked!
Of course, we can’t forget about mentioning THAT cake from Blonde Baking Mama – TALK ABOUT #WOW!
LENZO loves a party tip – what is Alicia’s?
“Choose a theme for a kid’s party that they can have fun with.”
Well, we certainly think Harlow and her friends had a lot of fun at this carnival! Just one more question… can we pretty please get invited to her next birthday party!?
Love, LENZO x
