Romantic chic meets classic industrial in Melbourne’s most unique wedding reception venue...
Warehouse chic has become the ‘It’ theme of recent times, with more and more couples tying the knot in the most unusual of places! At LENZO, we’ve been dying to show you our individual take on this unique wedding idea, and our recent collaboration with superstar photographer Kas Richards + various suppliers perfectly captures our lush wedding warehouse vision.
ATTENTION #ModernBrides! recreating this look is simple: all you need is a blank canvas and plenty of imagination. Groom not included.
The Venue: The Church of Bang Bang Boogaloo
A blank industrial space is the perfect solution to creating a lush warehouse wedding. Think textured cement flooring, raw timber, and exposed brick. As for the palette, feminine colours like deep purples, blush pinks, and rich crimsons will deliver the perfect contrast to a masculine backdrop.
We chose to style The Church of Bang Bang Boogaloo in Melbourne’s CBD, an intimate factory-turned-chapel that is versatile enough to host your ceremony as well as your reception.

The Styling Touches
Draping festoon lights across the timber roof beams will help to create a romantic atmosphere by adding an overall softness to the venue.

The wired arbour and similarly styled chairs lend to the warehouse feel without making it too much of the main focus. The neon sign from My Wedding Decor adds a cute touch to the venue, and we are loving the industrial wire table that it was placed upon.

For your table settings, touches of muted gold cutlery and drinking glasses provide a nice brass feel that complements the theme of the day.

The Stationery: The Little Details Design Boutique
In keeping with the strong theme of red and pink tones, opt for invitations and menus that feature bold floral sketches. Go for metallic burgundy envelopes, which are evocative of rusted metals.
We particularly love the sheer paper overlay, which adds a textured dimension to the invites.

The Wedding Fashion
Due to the relaxed style of an industrial wedding, simple is better when it comes to the wedding gown. Embroidered tulle, high necks, and floaty cap sleeves are all elegant options that will help you stand out, and we are especially loving these gowns by Jennifer Gifford Designs.
For him, almost any coloured suit from Institchu will work. A burgundy suit jacket will complement the rich red and pink palette, while a white or grey suit delivers a subtle nod to the décor. A bow tie brings an old-world charm that somehow fits in with the overall vibe.
We decided to style all these alternative wedding fashion options, so you can pick and choose your favorite looks. For that extra LENZO touch, why not add a silk flower crown, courtesy of Aggie + Lola!

The Flowers: Floral Architecture
Just because it’s set in an industrial venue doesn’t mean you have to forego the feminine florals. Lush and bold blooms add a delicate and graceful feel that contrasts the industrial angles of the building.
Line the aisle with candles, green ferns, or small bouquets – and don’t forget to make blossoming flowers the centerpieces for your tables. Placing large hanging florals in the space and woven through the arbour will offer a nice view wherever your guests turn their gaze.

Arguably the most important part of ANY event - well, in LENZO’s eyes, at least - are the #SWEETS!! Our top tip is to make sure you match the food to your theme. For a luxe industrial wedding, think abstract cakes that play on geometric shapes, gold foil touches on mini sweet treats, and something extra special that will have your guests oohing and ahhing, like the My Wedding Décor Fairy Floss Cart!
