A unique wedding theme for the modern Perth bride
A little bit sweet and a whole lotta juicy: that’s how LENZO would describe our latest wedding editorial. Shot in WA, we enlisted the help of super-stylist Bertie Does, and left it in the capable hands of Jessica and her team who did not disappoint.
Jessica tells us:
“The inspo for the concept came from the incredibly amazing restaurant, The Pink Zebra, in India. We loved the bold colour palette, the pairing of vibrant coral with moody black, and the contrast of hard and soft lines. The result just goes to show that your wedding style can be whatever you want it to be and that rules were made to be broken!”
These amazing pics – captured by Perth wedding photographer Samantha Simone and shot at the unique wedding venue Villa Kula – left us with a sweet taste in our mouths! Check out these images and you’ll soon see why.
Come on a trip with us to WA and take a bite out of this coral-infused wedding…
The wedding venue
You heard it here first: Villa Kula’s VK Tent House is the next ‘It’ place for all Perth brides looking for a unique wedding venue for their #BIGDAY. Its floor-to-ceiling ‘white on white’ light-filled warehouse was the perfect blank canvas in which to truly turn it into something exclusive.
Bertie Does started with the arched wall from Event Artillery, which they decked out with a coral design by the wonderful team at Pickawall. From there, it was all about layering different materials and textures – such as velvet, mirror, acrylic, timber and metal – with coral, black, white, and gold accents.

The wedding stationery, furniture, and table setting
Sketch & Etch Creative incorporated one of the hottest trends in wedding stationery in our editorial: acrylic signage. Gold and coral proved to a stunning combination when used in the welcome sign, menu, drink stirrers, and place cards.

The dining table was meticulously prepared by a joint effort by Favor Lane, who supplied the partyware, and Event Artillery, who provided the furniture from their latest collection. Of course, Sketch & Etch’s acrylics were the finishing touches to the table setting.

We still love the idea of custom drink stirrers, which can be given as a really unique wedding bonbonniere. Your guests can keep them as a reminder of your special day + reuse when they make their own DIY cocktails!

The wedding decorations: balloons and flowers
How’s this for a stunning wedding table decoration idea? That lush flower table runner is out of this world, and created by none other than green thumb Sir Botanical.
We can never say no to an abundance of fresh blooms, which is why the entire space was decked out in flowers – we especially love the effect of scattered petals on the floor, and how the flowers are even intertwined in the balloon installation by Balloon Co.

And what a balloon installation! Seriously, can Balloon Co do no wrong?!

The wedding cake and dessert
Bertie Does even managed to incorporate the colour palette into the desserts - who said a wedding cake had to be all white? We love this stunning double-layered design by Posh Little Cakes, which was decorated with gorgeous pink, peach and even black (!) blooms by Sir Botanical.

The wedding drinks
Of course, it’s just not a wedding without a bit of bubbly to celebrate. Yellowglen generously kept the party going with their Prosecco and Pinot Noir Colours collection.

The wedding dresses
Can we also take a moment to admire these #STUNNING wedding dresses by designer Natalie Rolt, and worn by the lovely Aniqua Toquero? Whatever your personal style or taste, we are sure that one (or all!) will appeal to your sense of fashion. We are obsessed – can we get married in all three!?
