ROZALIA RUSSIAN'S MEDITERRANEAN INSPIRED 30TH BIRTHDAY
We caught European fever at Rozalia's birthday party - come and see why!
They say life begins at 30, and after styling Rozalia Russian's 30th birthday on Saturday night, we would have to say we agree!
Drawing inspiration from coastal Mediterranean regions, LENZO helped to create a classy and charming dinner party at Ms Frankie in Cremorne - and with its 5m industrial ceilings, terrazzo stone flooring, and white marble table tops, Rozalia couldn't have picked a more appropriate venue to host her event.
An intimate dinner was planned for Roza and her closest family and friends to ring in her new age. The Small Things Co lined the tables with glass candle holders and wax-less candles to help imitate that infamous Tuscan evening vibe.
Sketch & Etch provided the adorable mirrored drink stirrers, patterned swirl paper straws, and cake topper - with blue being the colour of the night, we think the props perfectly reflected this. 'Rozalia 30' scrawled on the drink stirrers added a cute personalised touch.
The Flowers: Raven and the Rose
White Phalaenopsis orchids, the ever-popular blooms of choice, were centred on the table amid lavish amounts of fresh rosemary and figs. With a winning combination of lemons + herbs + blossoms permeating the air, Raven and the Rose managed to effectively recreate an scent-ual infusion that took us back to those hot summer nights in the Mediterranean.
The Balloons: Belle Balloons
An impressive balloon installation was suspended overhead using all white balloons in varying sizes for effect. Lavender Singapore orchids with green foliage were entwined sporadically to add contrast.
The Table Setting: Table Art
'When life gives you lemons, make limoncello!' was the motto - and the signature drink - for Rozalia's birthday. In keeping with the Italian theme, a tower of lemons secured in black metal baskets were used as unique centrepieces.
Sprigs of rosemary and crisp white napkins placed alongside gold cutlery were a magical contrast against the stunning azure table decal.
In true Mediterranean style, antipasto boards were sprawled across the tables, and featured delicious sharing platters of cured meats, olives, breadsticks, and dried fruits.
The Floor and Table Decals: Pickawall
Reminiscent of the popular Greek honeymoon destination Santorini, Roza chose a beautiful and unique blue + white tile decal to decorate the floors and tables. This striking pattern was smoothly fitted across the tables as well as the front entrance of the restaurant to set the tone as the guests wandered in. It was the perfect way to incorporate the Mediterranean vibe without straying into nautical territory.
By the end of the night, we were dreaming of escaping to the Amalfi Coast - #BRB as we pack our suitcases! Arrivederci!
Love, LENZO x
